Burton-on-Trent Golf Club is owned by the members and governed by members who are elected by their peers, to form the Board of Directors. The Directors limit the numbers of members so that those who wish to take part in organised competitions can do so. This limit may result in a waiting list being in operation and those waiting will be offered membership in strict order whenever a vacancy arises.
The membership year is from 1st Oct to 30th Sept next and the annual subscription of existing members of The Company must be paid within 2 weeks of that 1st Oct. New members joining on or after 1st January will be liable to pay ¾ of the full subscription. New members joining on or after April 1st will be liable to pay ½ of the full subscription and those joining on or after 1st July will be liable to pay ¼ of the full subscription.
The subscription fee is agreed by members at a General Meeting each year. In addition, each new member will pay a one off entrance fee, half of which is payable on joining and half payable on the 1st anniversary of joining.
For the non-golfer they can avail themselves of the Clubhouse and its facilities and join in the thriving social activities at the club. They are able to do so by joining as a Social Member, the annual subscription for this is £60 inc VAT.
New members will be eligible to vote at any General Meeting after joining. Members, of three years standing, would be able to propose or second another member for election as a Director and would themselves be eligible to be elected as a Director.

Fees for the year 1st October 2010 to 30th September 2011 are as follows:
Seven Day Membership - £775
Entrance Fee - £1200 (payable in instalments)
Gentlemen join initially as Seven day members and , if they wish to do so, transfer to Six or Five day membership when there are vacancies in the respective capacities.
Six Day (every day but Saturday) - £677
Five Day(Weekdays) - £569
Junior Membership
We have a thriving Junior Section and are very keen to encourage more junior members to join us. There is no waiting list for Junior members. Annual subscriptions are as follows:

For junior members aged 14 or below there is no entry fee.
For those aged 15,16 or 17 the entry fee is £500 payable over the years to age 18. Automatic playing membership is available from the 1st of October next following 18th birthday
